OUR MISSION
Every young person deserves a voice.
Rise Up exists to use the power of music and collective singing to help create a world where young people feel connected, valued, heard and supported.
We believe singing can do more than make music.
It can bring people together.
It can build confidence.
It can create belonging.
It can provide a space for expression.
And it can help start important conversations.
Through Rise Up, we want to encourage schools and communities to make singing part of a positive culture around young people's wellbeing while raising awareness of the importance of mental health and the support available to young people.
SING
Bring young people together through the shared experience of making music.
CONNECT
Create inclusive opportunities for young people to feel part of something bigger than themselves.
RISE UP
Raise awareness of young people's mental health and inspire positive change.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S
MENTAL HEALTH
MATTERS
Every voice matters.
Every young person matters.
Mental health is part of everyone's lives. Young people can experience pressures, challenges and emotions that can sometimes feel difficult to navigate.
Rise Up gives schools and communities a positive and creative way to bring young people together, encourage connection and confidence, and open conversations around wellbeing.
We believe music can help create spaces where young people feel heard, included and valued.
Rise Up is not a replacement for professional mental health support. It is a campaign using the universal language of music to raise awareness, encourage connection and help keep young people's mental health part of the conversation.
THE RISE UP CHARITY SINGLE
Hundreds of voices. One powerful message.

Friday 20th November, 2026
WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY
At the heart of the Rise Up campaign is a special charity recording of Rise Up by Andra Day.
Young people and schools are coming together through the power of singing to create a collective performance and raise awareness of young people's mental health.
The charity single will be released on Friday 20 November 2026 — World Children's Day, with proceeds from the project donated to YoungMinds after production costs.
One song can carry a message.
Hundreds of voices can make it impossible to ignore.

A complete musical journey for your school
The Rise Up Scheme of Work has been created in partnership with Charanga Musical School to give teachers a practical and engaging way to introduce Rise Up, explore its themes and bring young people together through singing.
The scheme provides resources that can be used to support singing, musical learning, wellbeing and positive conversations with young people.
Whether you're already a Charanga school or you're new to the platform, you can join the Rise Up movement and help your pupils find their voice.
JOIN THE MOVEMENT
